About the Artist
Gina Gahagan is a fine artist and illustrator from Bozeman, Montana. She was raised in Cooke City, Montana, and has spent a great deal of time working, playing and just being outside in the woods, in Montana forests, fields, wilderness areas and in Yellowstone Park. Consequently, her pieces reflect her love of the beauty of the outdoors. Recently retired from a career in Natural Resource Management, she has returned her focus to the creation of art.
Having a great love of illustration, she paints and draws subjects from the natural world. Loving fiber, she also creates one-of-a-kind fiber pieces, many of which contain elements she’s illustrated. She has participated in local art shows and sales since 2004, but has more recently branched out, participating in local, regional and national juried shows, primarily with her fiber pieces. She has created several commissioned paintings, including two murals.
She has a BFA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Printmaking, from Montana State University in Bozeman. She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
